Jack Calvo, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, is abducted along with colleague Bruce Howard in Iraq. Terms for the release of the two journalists are met; however Howard is brutally murdered at the hands of his Al-Qaeda captors. Stalked by the painful memory of his partner’s death, Calvo returns to the U.S. and after a period of remorse resumes his duties as a journalist. His first assignment…to cover the bizarre media circus surrounding former child actor turned convicted murderer Billy Spade. Calvo soon finds himself on a mission to help reunite the soon to be executed Spade with his estranged son days before his execution. However, memories of his tragic past begin to resurface as Calvo starts to break down.
